The 10 finalists have been selected in the fourth annual South Middle School Essay Contest. The finalists have been placed on a page on the original Room 210 site.
The judges, Joplin High School freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who did well in the contest when they were at South, will review the essays and vote later this week.
The 10 finalists are:
Jordan Chambers, Colten Hawkins, Rachelle Hughbank, Breanna Martin, Faith Mowry, Dylan Prauser, Victoria Smith, Raycee Thompson, Taylor Tressler, Demi White
The first place winner will receive $15, with $10 for second, $5 for third, $3 for fourth, $2 for fifth, and $1 apiece for those finishing in sixth through 20th places.
