East defeats Webb City 43-24

Charlie Brown scored 22 points, including 20 in the first half as the East Middle School eighth grade basketball team breezed past Webb City 43-24 tonight.

East scored the first five points of the game on a Dillon McVay three-pointer and a C. Brown jumper and had a 15-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.

During the second period, East outscored the visitors 17-10, with C. Brown drawing nothing but net on shot after shot.

The pace of the game slowed during the third quarter with both teams scoring four points, East's coming a C. Brown jumper to open the period and then a Chase Hall two-pointer.

The pace picked up against in the final six minutes. East opened the scoring with McVay finding Hall in the lane for two. After that, it was the Quantal Brown show. Brown missed by only two rebounds recording a double-double scoring 11 points, all in the second half and grabbing eight rebounds.
