New sixth grade communication arts teacher Mrs. Amanda Mehrens says the first few weeks at East Middle School have gone by fast "and every day was very different.
"The students at East are awesome," Mrs. Mehrens said, "and the staff is fantastic. Mrs. Mehrens decided she wanted to teach her senior year in high school, however her parents had said for a long time that she would end up teaching.teach for a long time.
