The '50s return to EMS as Mrs. Weaver's class studies "The Outsiders"

The 1950s returned to East Middle School last week, thanks to Mrs. Linda Weaver's seventh grade reading classes.

The students, who have been studying author S. E. Hinton's classic The Outsiders, which is set in the '50s, dressed up in clothing styles of that era. And they were not the only ones dressing up.

Some eighth graders who had Mrs. Weaver's class last year also participated in the activity.

I remember my first Greaser Day. Seems like ages ago. But also seems so recent. These are memories I will never forget.
